Something last weekend: I enjoy people’s relation with their electronic devices. This weekend I was on assignment in Lisbon, which took me around multiple spots of my city, and some that I haven’t seen for a long time. A funny thing I quickly noticed from an initial review of the weekend’s work (https://www.flickr.com/photos/t3mujin/shares/77Aou6) that I didn’t notice while taking the photos: somehow people’s relation with their devices interests me, a lot, starting with the ubiquitous selfies!And because I’m still working in my own film emulation presets and I strongly believe in the eat your own dog food principle, all these photos have been processed with my Kodachrome 25 preset.
Today is “old lenses in mirrorless bodies” day, can anyone spot what lens is mounted on the right Fuji?

Doing my own film emulationsFor reasons that aren’t really relevant right now I switched to Linux a few years ago, not Windows or Mac, and never went back. But there’s no Lightroom or the other common photo editing options available, so after some tries I ended up settling with darktable to develop my RAW photos, an open source option very actively developed and with a strong community behind it. But it still lacks some resources, presets in particular, film emulation presets to be even more specific. So a few months ago I launched myself the challenge of creating my own set of presets, developed at a slower pace in the available free time. That effort is about to reach the first milestone and I can share a preview with one of the most popular films in the planet: the latest generation of Kodak Portra (Portra 160, Portra 400 and Portra 800), with the guarantee that the final pack will contain much more options, like slide and negative, color and b&w films!Download the Portra presets now! bit.ly/t3mujinPo…

' .Path . ;
That moment when that path…Than moment when, for no reason whatsoever, a path seems to call you to walk through it, and at the find an hidden place that’s yours and no one else’s. I might do some cool stuff here.

Summer nights mean moving the table outside for dinner.
Not long ago I wrote how unexpected, strange or unlikely football fields interest me a lot, most of those I found in hidden corners of my country or even in other continents. Often things appear closer than we expect, and this creepy spot was almost in my backyard, taken on a hot night stroll. This photo won’t make into that project, mobile night shots aren’t good enough, but must return here one of these days.
One of my little side projects for the last couple of months has been a set of film emulation presets for darktable (my open-source RAW developer), which now is very close of its first release. While testing it I went back to this lovely portrait of me, taken when Niall grabbed one of my cameras at Botequim, during one of our usual photo walks with my long time friend Rui.PS - this is the output of the Fuji Pro 400H preset.
