Doing my own film emulationsFor reasons that aren’t really relevant right now I switched to Linux a few years ago, not Windows or Mac, and never went back. But there’s no Lightroom or the other common photo editing options available, so after some tries I ended up settling with darktable to develop my RAW photos, an open source option very actively developed and with a strong community behind it. But it still lacks some resources, presets in particular, film emulation presets to be even more specific. So a few months ago I launched myself the challenge of creating my own set of presets, developed at a slower pace in the available free time. That effort is about to reach the first milestone and I can share a preview with one of the most popular films in the planet: the latest generation of Kodak Portra (Portra 160, Portra 400 and Portra 800), with the guarantee that the final pack will contain much more options, like slide and negative, color and b&w films!Download the Portra presets now! bit.ly/t3mujinPo…
