Clearing the way to import all Pakistan photos means going back to older stuff (don’t ask…), in this case means culling one of the most colorful Entroido of Galicia: Entroido Ribeirão!

Colorful streamers are hung outdoors, with people and structures visible in the background.

This is the most cliché thing a Ricoh GR user would probably say, but I’m gonna say it anyway: Snap Focus, specially when you have it set along regular AF with Full Press Snap, is the best thing ever and I don’t know why other brands don’t imitate it.

So, this happened! For long the Ricoh GR didn’t appeal to me because I simply couldn’t handle its focal distance, and lately I noticed I’ve been slowly and consistently drifting towards it. Things indeed change. Add that with a very neat campaign, and here we are.

A person wearing a cap is taking a selfie in a mirror with a camera in an elevator.

Plenty of work ahead, still halfway importing the photos from Pakistan!

A man and a child are sitting inside a vehicle, with mountainous scenery visible outside.

Unwinding in Rawalpindi, just before returning home.

A young boy stands holding the rope of a cow inside a rustic barn-like setting.Birds are flying over silhouetted buildings and a minaret against a clear sky with people watching from a rooftop.A person is riding a motorcycle through a narrow, dimly lit alley with closed metal shutters on either side. Two men are grooming a goat, with one holding clippers and a comb, while the other is seated and holding the animal.A person stands beside a train while a woman and child look out from its window.A man in traditional clothing is pushing against a shuttered storefront in a narrow alleyway, while another man stands in the background.A man pushes a cart loaded with colorful woven fabrics along a brick wall in an urban setting.A busy street scene captured from inside a vehicle shows people riding a motorcycle, a rickshaw, and a red car amidst urban traffic, with shops lining the road.

And, at last, Peshawar! Quick catchup from the final main stop in my big Pakistan tour.

A few days late, maybe I’m getting tired of all this time on the road, but had to share the days spent in the Kalash Valleys!

Catchup from the last days on the insanely beautiful Hunza Valley.

Under the shadow of the Nanga Parbat, between Fairy Meadows and Astore Valley.

Time to leave Lahore. Some quick picks from the last few days.

I have a new site! I explain it more in the post, but I really hit a wall with the old one. Hope this one works better! Now I must rest, I have a flight early in the morning, but do take a look! www.joaopedroalmeida.com/en/posts/…

Another day closes, blissfully unaware of the brutal mess where heading to. The beauty of the countryside.

Catching up with some of the stuff I still hadn’t posted around here, all from my random walks around Lisbon.

Having a major blackout today in this corner of Europe, obviously I was waiting for nightfall for what I might get from my window. …and power returned just in time for me to take some shots!

Em tempos estranhos como estes, gritar liberdade é cada vez mais importante.E que dia bonito foi hoje!

It’s great that Nikon is open to vintage inspired cameras, but what would be even better would be lenses, and I’m not even talking about vintage look. A new take on AF-D lenses for Z mount! petapixel.com/2025/04/2…petapixel.com/2025/04/2…

One of my questions for my new photo website is whether having comments or not. A static website (how I chose to build it) will always require an external solution, I don’t think a paid service makes sense and free solutions (like Disqus) are a privacy nightmare. Probably I’ll go without it.

It’s neither Winter or Spring…
