There goes the weekend…

The masks were back in Lisbon! For some time it was kind of a tradition to have masked group coming from all parts of the world for FIMI (Festival Internacional da Máscara Ibérica), with the big moment being the parade that happened downtown. It has been on hold for some years, until last weekend. It’s far from being the same as seeing the authentic thing, but having all these together in the same location, and honestly a bit out of place, makes always interesting photos. And you are able to see familiar faces in your hometown! #fimi #desfileinternacionaldamascaraiberica #lisboa #portugal

Snaps from a family’s slow Sunday lunch away from the city, where all that’s missing is the lunch itself. Probably the last of the summer, but with climate change you never know.

Playing with light.

For many reasons, one of which a trip to the Balkans, I wasn’t able to come to my little retreat in Central Portugal as often as usual in the Summer, so I’m fixing that while weather still is nice. Not that’s bad being here in winter, but this hammock isn’t as fun in cold days.
The randomness from the last week or so, out and about Lisbon.

I really care little about celebrations, international days and all those things, including #WorldPhotographyDay, I’m that old guy that complains nowadays there’s a day for everything. But photography has taken me to the most coolest places, and put the most awesome people in my path, and that’s definitely something worth celebrating.
After the weeks in the Balkans, between fun kitsch of the cities and the imposing peaks of the mountains, it’s time ti hit back the streets in my hometown.

When the route Google Maps gives your accommodation takes you through one of the most beautiful roads you’ve taken, going down a narrow and curvy valley for kilometers. That’s a good day! And by the way, that accommodation happens to be the guesthouse of a monastery you wanted to visit.
Going after beach vibes away from the sea, some of the picks from lakes Ohrid and Prespa 🇦🇱 🇲🇰
