Going to familiar places with a different a different perspective, literally! Ever since moving to the Fujifilm X system I lost options in the wider range, because wide-angle lenses had fallen out of favour with me and I never bough one in this system. But I was feeling the need of something a bit wider, and when the XF 16mm f/2.8 was announced (keeping with the very compact build of recent Fuji lenses) I knew it would a perfect fit for my kit. Now that it finally arrived to my bag it was time to take out to the streets I know so well, and get used to a focal distance I wasn’t that used to lately. A tradition almost as solid as Carnival itself: saving the slow Monday between the busy Carnival Sunday and Tuesday to wander the roads of Trás-Os-Montes.Here a Transmontano Mastiff, one of a pack of five big dogs, guarding a flock of sheep in the pastures of Montesinho.
