My friend Nicole is doing a two-in-one: a portraits exhibit and a portraits session. And today I did a two-in-one also: visit the exhibit and sat on that chair for a portrait. At Largo in Intendente, Lisbon. More details on her insta:https://instagram.com/nicole_campos_sanchez

Regarding this post from João Sousa, with the update on his issues social networks while sharing content from Beirut. I’m not going to say there’s a deliberate attempt to ban all posts that focus a given topic, like posts from a specific country. I have nothing to base that and it would be going deep into the realm of conspiracy theories… But what’s real, and a weird sign of our times, is a kind of “algorithm censorship”, where, by only providing us with what “we like” certain controversial topics are buried that algorithm, leading to all kinds of creators to avoid them and only create “happy things”.And a simple example of that is the pandemic that starts with a C…
Kicking off 2022 with something plain and simple, a cliche: pretty sunsets.

Going back a couple of years, and returning to the unique New Year’s pagan traditions of the Mirandese plateau. blog.joaoalmeidaphotography.com/en/demons…
Andar para trás um par de anos, e regressar às tradições pagãs de ano novo muito particulares do Planalto Mirandês. blog.joaoalmeidaphotography.com/pt/ano-no…
I never really given that much attention to Instagram Guides, seemed just another influencer gimmick, but now I’m starting to think it could make sense to add some some structure to the otherwise bottomless pit that’s the feed photos. Rather than using it for nicely thought posts (I have a blog for that) the idea is to try to use it to gather all travel updates I already do while on the road. Just like this one from my last Iceland trip. Let me know what you think. www.instagram.com/t3mujin/g…
Winter Solstice is upon us. This year I was hoping that by now I’d be getting ready to head north and return to the winter traditions of Trás-Os-Montes, but pandemic screwed the plans yet again. Surely I’ll miss the fun that comes with it (more on that in another day), but I’ll also miss this: that region’s naked scenery under the dark and short days, that suits this season’s introspection and inner self much better. Autumn wanderings in Lisbon’s downtown. The city is full of hills, so when you don’t have place you want go it’s easy to end up down by the river… Should’ve taken care of my Xmas shopping while I was there. #lisbon #portugal www.flickr.com/photos/t3…
