Going through the photos from this year’s Carnival, with the long delay I tend to get my work done these days. It was the first time since the start of pandemic I was able to go back to the masked festivals of Northern Portugal (and this year, Spain also) I’ve been shooting in the recently. It was nice to go back to back to places and rituals I’m now starting to know well, to shoot side by side with some of my mates, meet again familiar faces. It felt nice, it really did.That’s it for the cheesy intermission. The “real” photos will follow. Really glad to be back to the North of Portugal, to my beloved masked rituals, after all the stuff from the last couple of years.
