September is coming to an end, almost all sheep are gathered, only a few are still roaming in the hills, so that there’s still something to do in the upcoming winter. Is time to pack things and go… 🇮🇸 #Grímsstaðarétt #réttir #myrum #iceland #ísland

My first time seeing and trying to photograph Northern Lights. #iceland

You know you’re not a hard core landscape photographer anymore when the only tripod you bring for Iceland (and Rocky Mountains) is this…

Svarthamarsrétt, one of the many réttir, or to be accurate the second part of it, where the remaining hundreds of sheep that weren’t gathered in the first one earlier in the month (around 5000) are round-up and sorted.🇮🇸 #Svarthamarsrétt #réttir #hvalfjörður #iceland #ísland

Laufskálarétt, the biggest horse round-up in the North. Horses that roam free through the summer are gathered and brought to large corral, where each farmer sorts theirs from the larger group. In between, lots of celebration among the small crowd, with eating, drinking and singing. 🇮🇸 #skagafjörður #laufskálarétt #iceland #island

Morning came with rain and wind, a gentle reminder that Summer has ended and Autumn rapidly is taking its place. The time of the year sheeps are gathered and prepared for slaughter… 🇮🇸 #tröllaskagi #olafsfjordur #iceland #ísland

Tröllaskagi, the troll peninsula tuck in the North of the island. That’s the reason in Ólafsfjörður, the town that’s been my home for a couple of days, you often find trolls painted in the houses, usually related with the person living in them (the one of the photo is from a circus performer). 🇮🇸 #tröllaskagi #olafsfjordur #iceland #island

Moving away from the dramatic cliffs and all the breathtaking stuff that comes with being in Westfjords, moving to the more languid, less exciting but more serene scenery of the Vatnsnes and Skagi peninsulas. 🇮🇸 #vatnsnes #skagi #iceland

Last time I was in Iceland one of the goals was to go one of its hidden gems, that for long was in my mind: the Westfjords. But while there I spent all my time in the dramatic west coast, ignoring the even more forgotten east coast: the Strandir coast. I wasn’t planning driving the Westfjords, but knew I had this one place to go to, one of the most amazing little corners of the island! 🇮🇸 #westfjords #strandir #iceland

A lot of Iceland has to do with driving it.🇮🇸 #iceland #island #fujixe3 #fujifilm #vsco

After my first visit to Iceland people asked me what’s there to see, and I replied with a smile: Nothing! Not that it’s boring and void of interest, but it’s the space, the scale, all the space to breathe.Today while landing and setting foot at Keflavik airport I felt just that again! In the upcoming days I’ll be revisiting all this, follow my stories on Instagram! 🇮🇸

Barreiro, the industrial suburb of Lisbon, that somehow I never had captured on camera. Given my focus the last years on the banks of the Tagus river this seems a bit unlikely. A brief exploration in good company, ending with the mandatory beer, was the proper way to fix that!

Even in a slow month as August, where nothing really happens, I still wander in in the streets of Lisbon, looking nothing in particular between my daily commutes and the times when I pretend I’m a tourist… Find more of these, and with higher quality, on my #flickr #inprogress www.flickr.com/photos/t3…

Being today the #worldphotographyday, and having shared photos from São Tomé in the past days, there’s only one photo I could share today, because you can do more with a camera than taking photos! Mild summer days in Portugal’s west coast. Summer has been appearing briefly this year, but it does appear from time to time. #landscape #portugal #sintra #fuji_xseries #t3mujinpack #inprogress This and more with higher quality on my #flickr stream www.flickr.com/photos/t3…

Every once in a while we at #fujixfocus, a small informal group of Portuguese Fuji shooters, do stuff. Some is structured and planned, but quite often is more on the impromptu side. This weekend was the later with the few of us, the August remainders in Lisbon, setting up a nice wandering in the decaying south bank of Lisbon with just a couple of days in advance.

I tend to do long walks, including on Sundays like today, and often those lonely walks take me over and over to the same ugly places…⠀ Lately my feed has been filled with random photos, from my everyday routines or my commutes. Sorry about all that boring stuff, I’ll be giving a bit more attention to exciting travel photos in the near future.⠀ #lisbon #portugal #street #sonyrx100 #t3mujinpack
