These days around Christmas I ran away from Lisbon, as I did so many times this year, and often do long walk around my small village. Somehow I always end up bringing the camera with me, despite that I’m not that much into shooting landscapes, the scenery is naked, the colors are muted and the faint light often fails to overcome the top of the hills nearby. #fujixt3 #snapseed #beirabaixa #portugal #landscape #winter

Travels aren’t only made of moments like postcards shots, that sometimes aren’t even authentic, but are filled with unusual or out of place moments, things that someone doesn’t know why it’s there or even ugly. And I really enjoy these… #serradoaçor #portugal

Certainly no shortage of vibrant colors while hiking the woods around Manteigas today, despite that its peak has already passed and big part of the leaves are already fallen in the ground, which I kind of prefer becausd it’s slightly more subtle than the overdose of peak colors. #trekking #hiking #portugal #serradaestrela

In the last few days the skyes were heavy and gloomy, filled with dark clouds, a storm that doesn’t seem to fade away. The forecast for the upcoming week is more forgiving, we shall see if that holds or not… #beirabaixa #portugal #fujixt3 #snapseed

Not your usual pretty photo of Portugal’s landscape, like a swing and a gorgeous view with an inspiring, but rather empty, quote like every other influencer does. But this is Portugal nevertheless, and something typical of this time of year. #beirabaixa #portugal #fujixt3 #snapseed

“Alminhas.Small shrine where people can stop briefly to leave a prayer and sometimes a small coin for the souls of those who have already gone. Usually placed by a road or pathway, sometimes in a settlement or at a crossroads, but often in the middle of an empty stretch of country road, or at the top of a hill or mountain. It is also frequent to find a burning candle or lamp, or even other offerings like flowers.”This one fits perfectly the definition: standing at the top of a hill, in the middle of nowhere, by a crossroad, like so many others in the region,and feeling particularly eerie today with the thick fog that today covered one of my backyard photography spots.
