2020 num diário fotográfico

2020 is now over, but 2021 hasn’t quite started for me… Currently stuck in a limbo between the two… #portugal #beirabaixa #fujifilm_xseries #fujix100v #vsco

I don’t always take a selfie, but when I do it’s because there’s a sun setting behind me…

Not my top nine most liked photos, not even my personal picks for 2020… Just nine photos from my instagram timeline that try to get the mood of what my 2020 was.Everyone is sharing their “top nine” collage, a ranking of their most liked photos on Instagram. I did generate mine but wasn’t planning on sharing it, it’s highly unbalanced and a bit monotonous, as 2/3 of it come from the first two months of 2020.Instead I went for doing my own pick, not what I think was my best work throughout the year, but a snapshot of what the year felt (without any given order): the cold first days of the year at Trás-Os-Montes, the few domestic trips, the only masked tradition I was able to capture, the confinement and it’s impact, the significant amount of time spent this year spent at Beira Baixa…

These days around Christmas I ran away from Lisbon, as I did so many times this year, and often do long walk around my small village. Somehow I always end up bringing the camera with me, despite that I’m not that much into shooting landscapes, the scenery is naked, the colors are muted and the faint light often fails to overcome the top of the hills nearby. #fujixt3 #snapseed #beirabaixa #portugal #landscape #winter

Late shopping and another yummy treats of the season #street #lisbon

Lockdown mornigs…The rule nowadays in many of the places in Portugal is weekends and holiday afternoons are to be spent indoors, so it’s all about making the best of the mornings…

In the last few years my birthday has coincided with the National Geographic Exodus Aveiro Fest, like in my talk two years ago where Happy Birthday was sang right before I started. Spending this quietly at home isn’t bad, what’s bad is feeling constrained of some of the things you like, like meeting some of your mates and listening some inspiring people…www.instagram.com/p/Bq7WLFF… View this post on Instagram A post shared by João Pedro Almeida (@t3mujin)

One of my chores for this weekend, or upcoming holiday at most, is to gather the lens correction data for the Fujifilm XF 16-80mm F4 R OIS WR, so it’s time to recap this from @pixlsus. #lensfun #opensource #fujifilm_xseries   pixls.us/articles/…

#chelas #lisboa #portugal

Casting a net in order to get a good catch. Putting aside all the obvious differences, like being far away from any relevant body of water, there’s a lot in common with fishing and harvesting olives. #portugal #beirabaixa #fujifilm_xseries #snapseed #t3mujin_onthego

Slower weekends, dark low clouds and constant drizzle, short walks in forest, cozy warmth at home. #portugal #beirabaixa

Travels aren’t only made of moments like postcards shots, that sometimes aren’t even authentic, but are filled with unusual or out of place moments, things that someone doesn’t know why it’s there or even ugly. And I really enjoy these… #serradoaçor #portugal

Certainly no shortage of vibrant colors while hiking the woods around Manteigas today, despite that its peak has already passed and big part of the leaves are already fallen in the ground, which I kind of prefer becausd it’s slightly more subtle than the overdose of peak colors. #trekking #hiking #portugal #serradaestrela

Earlier this week I posted about the joy of driving empty mountain roads, hiking a narrow path in the woods, all by yourself, and not finding anyone on the way feels a lot similar!#trekking #hiking #portugal

Some pretty colors to go along with this season, with its reds, yellows and oranges that make us feel so warm and cozy waiting for the cold that’s starting to embrace us! Except all that these were taken way before Autumn arrives…Sertã and Oleiros, Portugal 🇵🇹, August 2020 #forestfires #portugal #beirabaixa

There’s an immense joy of driving curvy, secondary roads, specially mountain roads. Something I haven’t done fora while.

Autumn in Portugal nowadays looks a lot like this: an empty stage and dark clouds, although here there’s some bright light in the horizon… #serradalousã #portugal
