Work straight out of the oven.
January is an insanely long month, the longest of the year, so long it feels like it has been 90 days since I returned back home from another of my winter solstice trips, with so many happening in between. Without further ado, some random shots with no particular order or meaning of that lengthy month.

Winter afternoon photowalk at Lisbon’s eastern meighborhoods with my mate Bruno. There’s no better way to catch up with friends that also photograph than going on a walk with our cameras, if you happen to take nice shots then that’s an extra bonus! Also was a chance to take out new gear for a drive, but in the end mostly used only one camera. Mental reminder not to take the #X100V when testing new gear…#fujifilm_xseries #fujifilmx100v #lisbon #portugal

Chilin’ with your mates, checkin’ what’s going on at the Lisbon Photo Book Fair, roamin’ on the streets taking snaps. To sum it up, a nice Sunday afternoon!

De volta do Exodus Aveiro Fest, meio que ainda a processar tudo do fim de semana: as palestras, os reencontros de caras conhecidas, os bons hábitos que se foram criando ao longo dos anos.#exodusaveirofest2023

Back to Porto for Amplifest. Like last year, I ended up taking the camera with me. Like last year, I ended up turning it mostly to everyone around, not the bands. I’m really not a concert photographer, I’m more into paying attention to the small things that are happening around me, and that’s why the moments I took the camera from my bag were the dead moments between shows. The breaks to have a beer, to hangout outside by the sun, to chill and enjoy the day. Just like I was doing.

Going deep into the archive and digging some old street shots from Amsterdam. Must make this an habit, the unprocessed archive is quote huge…

Was I attending a developer conference this week? Yes. Did I had a camera with me? As always. Have I done some “street photography”-ish between talks? Sure did!#outsystems #ONEoutsystems #lisbon #portugal

More than a favorite season to looking forward to, my attention tends to orbitate much more towards transition periods. Instead of everything at its peak, it’s those overlapping moments where one season hasn’t ended but next is already overlapping. The time when things get a bit more unstable, and they do change very quickly, but that often gives a moodier version of something that, otherwise, would probably be a bit more boring, like a plain and basic inland body of water. A hot summer day and an unlikely beach in the middle of Lisbon’s old quarters. Getting my Summer photos out of the door before October knocks on the door. Lisbon, Portugal 🇵🇹, June 2023 #lisbon #portugal
