Work straight out of the oven.

Lisbon’s old neon signs in a colorful exhibit in a parking lot. Just like every instagrammer in town, I add to go there, actually more than once. And because it’s near home might go there again before it closes.

Kicking off 2022 with something plain and simple, a cliche: pretty sunsets.

Winter Solstice is upon us. This year I was hoping that by now I’d be getting ready to head north and return to the winter traditions of Trás-Os-Montes, but pandemic screwed the plans yet again. Surely I’ll miss the fun that comes with it (more on that in another day), but I’ll also miss this: that region’s naked scenery under the dark and short days, that suits this season’s introspection and inner self much better.  Ousilhão, Trás-Os-Montes, Portugal 🇵🇹, December 2019 #portugal #trasosmontes #wintersolstice

Autumn wanderings in Lisbon’s downtown. The city is full of hills, so when you don’t have place you want go it’s easy to end up down by the river… Should’ve taken care of my Xmas shopping while I was there.  #lisbon #portugal www.flickr.com/photos/t3…

Small stories you find when you decide to wander after work… Funny how mid workweek walks pulls your attention to different things.#lisbon #portugal

Organizing my hard drive and clearing out the not shared, for some reason, photos done in the last summer months, now that winter and cold seems to have settled for good around here. This batch is Lisbon’s east side, nearby where I live, where I often out out and chill and many of those time I bring the camera along. www.flickr.com/photos/t3…

Last week @everydaycovid took me to Madeira, where myself and some of the other authors and curators of the project went for a series of presentations of its book and exhibits in the island (which are still available, so if you’re in the area feel free to drop at Biblioteca de Camara de Lobos and Colégio dos Jesuitas of Funchal for the two different exhibits). Throughout those days I’ve been taking some snapshots here and there, in between our tight schedule and our errands or when we could fit some sightseeing before flying back home. Nothing fancy, just some random shots.#madeira #portugal

We were aiming to wander the city and enjoy the lovely end of day light October has brought us, with it’s lights and shadows, but as always you can’t really plan the weather. Even the fiery sunset was almost a miss… In the end it’s always nice to hit the streets with your mates, regardless the photos.  #street #lisbon #portugal

Serra do Soajo, Portugal 🇵🇹, Setembro 2021  #pnpgerês #portugal

Something that’s been more common and frequent each year, because my work was already remote before the pandemic, are the summer days spent working in the countryside, in my family’s small village. And the fun of it is not being touristy at all: no swimming in the river, no hikes in the hills nearby (apart from the strolls at the end of day) or no getting the car into places I almost can’t get it out of. Just slowly going through the pace of the days…

Playing around with layers, with the colors of dusk, long after the sun has set, the time when it gets comfortable to outside on these summer days. #lisbon #portugal

Empty streets, nice weather, lazy Sunday. The recipe for a safe and small photowalk, so that we go back even further in the pandemic here in Lisbon .More than great shots, photowalks are about having a good time with fellow photographers and, for this one, going back to hitting the streets together. But in the end a handful of neat shots do find their way.

More Spring Weekend walks in town with a camera, or two.#lisbon #portugal
