Trás-Os-Montes is my favorite corner of Portugal, because of its welcoming and frontal people, meaty food and a kind of rough beauty that I like a lot. It has a way to show you that rough beauty, but in a peculiar way, when you least expect (that’s why it’s a great playground for my football fields project archive.joaoalmeidaphotography.com/index/G00…). Looking back after returning from another trip North, this one was one of that moments, when we stopped on a cold morning for our morning dose of caffeine. The cafe had an unusual large window, a single window to the street, and the view something was peculiar, to say the least.
